In April 2021, when the application for consent was submitted, Garvary Wind Farm in Sutherland within the planning authority of the Highland Council comprised of 37 turbines each with a blade tip height of 180 metres, battery storage and various ancillary infrastructure. In November 2022, in response to an objection from the Highland Council, Additional Information was submitted in which the number of turbines was reduced from 37 to 25, the blade tip height and location of each not changing from those in the application of April 2021. It was further amended in February 2024 to comprise 24 wind turbines.
