Construct a 500MW BESS project (inclusive of a 400/33kV electrical compound which will export via a 400kV cable to the existing substation). The proposed BESS would be located on agricultural land approximately 1.5 km to the southeast of the existing Strathaven Electricity Substation and south of the town of Hamilton in South Lanarkshire.
